Services Offered

Hi, I’m Maizee!

she/her/hers

With empathy, humor, and kindness in session, I seek to help my clients feel empowered, clear-headed, and calm. While I have a few specialties, my primary interest is in Maternal Health, including perinatal and postpartum mental health. I support individuals who are new parents, pregnant, adjusting to postpartum, have experienced TFMR/pregnancy/infant/child loss, or NICU/hospital admissions.

I want my clients to know they have a safe place to come to for sessions where they can be vulnerable and process difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions. My hope is that my clients leave each session with resources, skills and tools to help them feel supported and confident.

I utilize a strengths-based approach through a trauma-focused lens. I believe individuals have the power with in themselves to make positive, lasting changes in their lives. I utilize CBT, DBT, ACT and motivational interviewing to foster this belief and help clients not only realize, but acknowledge their own role in changing their thoughts and behaviors!

 FAQs

  • I work with adults (18+) in individual therapy, only. I do not see children, adolescents, couples, or families.

  • I am in-network with commercial Highmark/BCBS, United Healthcare, UPMC, Tricare, Cigna and Aetna plans. I do not accept any medicaid insurance/products at this time. (Example: UPMC For You, Highmark Wholecare)

If you do not wish to use insurance coverage or do not have it, my current rate is $200 for the first initial intake appointment and $150 for each following session.

I always encourage clients to contact their health insurance provider to ensure Mpower Mental Health LLC/Maizee Devlin, LCSW is a covered provider under their current plan. * Submitting claims to insurance is not a guarantee of payment and you are responsible for understanding your insurance benefits prior to beginning services. Any claim that is returned unpaid, with the exception of therapist error, is your responsibility to pay

  • I require at least 24 hour notice if you need to cancel an appointment. If 24 hours notice is not provided or you choose to not show for your appointment, your credit card on file will be charged $75. If you need to cancel an appointment, please email me at Maizeedevlin@mpowermentalhealthpgh.org

  • Yes, absolutely! Telehealth is an option for anyone who is not able or wanting in person appointments.

  • Unfortunately, no. There are steps leading into the building from the parking lot. The office is on the second floor and there is no elevator or stair lift. I am happy to offer telehealth services to individuals who are not able to attend in-person appointments due to these barriers.

  • For your first appointment, I recommend leaving early to make sure you have time to find the office.

You will see a State Farm sign from the road that signifies where our parking lot is. There is free parking on the side and rear of the building.

You will enter the door that is on the side of the building, by the mailboxes. Our office is located on the 2nd floor, first door on the left at the top of the stairs!

Click Here for pictures of the view from the road, the building, the parking lot, and entryway.

  • Due to concerns related to dual relationships and conflict of interests outlined in the NASW code of ethics, I can not do that. If I see you for therapy, I can not be your birth doula and vice versa - if I am your birth doula, I can not be your therapist. I would be happy to send you referrals for other doulas or therapists that could fill that other role for you!
